Adventure fuel guage

I have fitted and calibrated a new fuel strip in my 2008 1200gsa. I filled the tank and all the blocks on the gauge were there but after only 200 miles (320 km) I am showing empty. I refilled but took only 20 litres.  Could this be a faulty strip?

hi was there any fuel in the tank when calibrating and was the strip bone dry

odbodd:
The calibration was outside the tank with a new fuel strip, and the tank was drained.
