Programming heated grips?
			zugvogel:

On my 2014 R NineT I will be adding heated grips soon and will have to tell the ECU that they are present - is this procedure supported in GS-911 or do I have to go the dealer to have it programmed?

Hola, I am also adding heated grips, but I need to know if the ECU just finds the hardware automatically or I do really need to reprogram. I just got my GS911, and as you guys I am not sure this can be done yet by the GS911. Do I have to visit a BMW dealer to reprogram?
Thanks.

			Hey folks,
as I wright in http://forum.hexcode.co.za/forum/index.php/topic,782.msg3136.html#new
I never did any retrofits like this, but I would connect the switch, grips and the wiring to the ZFE.
Then look for any mistakes in the modules by using GS911.
And then, we will have a look

Great! I will then order the parts and let you guys know. If someone goes ahead even better....
I have the same impression you mentioned in your post. I should just work at once. To me, it does no me a any sense the reprogramming. In my other bike, a XT1200Z, it's the same deal, we connect any tipe of heated grips to the OEM plugs and viola, works just fine.
