USB connection to Galaxy S3 in host mode?
« on: January 29, 2014, 12:07:08 AM »
I have the USB version of the interface which I use with a Windows netbook. I also have a Samsung Galaxy S3 which I understand can function in USB host mode. Does anyone know if the GS-911 software will run on the S3 in host mode such that the USB interface can be used?

The FAQ on this assumed that mobile devices don't have host mode.

Hey BMW: No service manual = no new bike.

nope, the FAQ did not assume that... you missed the last portion of the paragraph: "Even if your device had a USB host controller, you would still need the USB drivers installed and these are only available for the Windows XP and Vista Operating system."

even if it has host mode it would still need a low level driver as as considerable tweaking, and won't just run as is... - unfortunately...
