Vin Table

kr4mo:
Does anyone know if there is a way to access the Vin Table in the GS911 unit???
Roy

Haakon:
I am not sure what you mean by VIN "table"?
Do you need a list of model and year VIN span?
VIN xxxxxx to xxxxxx is that model and year?
I am sure it can be found- but not as a stored list in the GS911 unit.

The ETK use a NONE VIN number to identify model (and year- IF a major modification was done)
The GS911 will show the VIN of the bike that is connected at any time... more or less.
(on older bikes (or all???) the VIN is stored in the ECU (BMS))
My old GS pop up as a CS or Dakar or?? when I change the ECU.

I will try find a list like that but guess its secret!?
The VIN identify the bike and can be used for fraud and on stolen bikes

Haakon:
I found a list that is safe to forward.

Why do you ask for this type of info?
Haakon

kr4mo:
The GS-911, according to Hexcode, stores a list of the VIN's of the bikes you use it on for certain functions. This is used basically for the novice version, since you are limited to 10 bikes for these functions. I have upgraded to the pro version, but I wanted to find out the vin's of the bikes I've serviced to check them against the list of models on the latest Recall (ie. fuel leaks)

Haakon:
Ok, This is for Stephan to answer :D
I am sure other mechanics may want that list too.
The BMW recalls are VIN related.
As so often, I did not understand..
