Can I use a GS911 to add factory TPMS to a 2007 R1200R?
« on: May 19, 2025, 04:44:14 PM »
Hello - I'm interested in retrofit factory TPMS to a 2007 R1200R that didn't have it originally.  Know I will need to add sensors, but also know that I'll need to update the software on the bike to get it to function in the display.  Can this be done with the GS911?

Have ran across two threads, one in which a person retro fitted a 2012 classic R model https://www.r1200rforum.com/threads/adding-past-factory-options-to-used-bikes.38578/?post_id=407554#post-407554, one of the posters actually went to the time & effort of learning BMW's code, but ran into a newer thread where a person just used the GS911 on a '07 GS model https://www.r1200gs.info/threads/added-oem-tpms-to-my-2007-r1200gs.56764/

Would I still have to take it in to BMW to have it updated, or just use the GS911 software?

Thanks very much for your time.

Welcome to the forum

If the retrofit requires updating the firmware/iLevel in the ECUs it will need to be done by a Dealer

GS911 does diagnostics & coding only
