Suspension Calibration and IOS
« on: March 30, 2025, 05:16:43 PM »
Hi there, everyone.
I'm thinking of purchasing a GS911 for my 2017 R1200RT. I need the GS911 to calibrate the new suspensions because I will be upgrading the suspension in the near future (ideally within a few weeks). Although I've read that the function is supported, I want to be absolutely certain.

Since I mostly use Apple goods, I'd like to know if my iPhone will support the GS911 WiFi version in its entirety. If necessary, I can "borrow" an Android tablet from work, but if it's feasible, I'd prefer to keep the GS911 to myself.

I hope to hear from you soon and thank you.

Using the web browser interface on a phone will give you full functionality with service functions via the cloud, there should not be any need to use an Android phone. Personally I prefer using the PC App & working off line

Hi Brenmond

If the upgraded suspension is factory spec with improvements, i.e. connects to the OEM wiring of the bike, then yes, you'll be able to calibrate it as if it were the OEM suspension. If it's completely aftermarket, the GS-911 will not be able to communicate with it as suspension on the BMWs are controlled via the XSAF ECU. That's the only way for the GS-911 to communicate with hardware.

Kind regards
