2010 GSA1200 another fuel level question
« on: April 28, 2025, 04:17:07 PM »
Guys,

iv picked up a 2010 gsa1200 I dont know any of the bikes history etc...

First off it had a fuel level fault, so bought a genuine BMW fuel strip, got my self the HEX wifi tool, drained the fuel down , clean off internal terminals , fit the new sensor strip outside the tank for calibration,

Now as I start to do the calibration, " it says that there is NO fuel strip fitted "

When I check the the configuration of the controller " it says Lever type sensor "

just a bit confused ???? can i change the sensor type with 911 tool ???

it seems like this has been interfered with before me???

thanks jeff

hey,

yes resolved the issue, it seems that the bike was originally built with a fuel strip, and at some point a fuel lever type sensor was installed and coded... but they never swapped the wires over ZFE plug.

so I restored factory settings on I cloud services, then i was able to change to the strip type calibrate
