ABS bleeding test / Service test on R1150R with I-ABS
« on: October 06, 2023, 12:39:08 PM »
Hello Everyone,

I have a 2001 R1150R with the I-ABS.
After the repair of the ABS unit, I installed it back into the bike, filled it, and made the bleeding.
After that I tried to make the "bleeding test" with the GS911 service function.
It seems that the display of the test has been changed with the new update.
After start of the test, there are two lines: one for the front circuit, one for the rear circuit. Both lines change color from orange to blue when the related lever ist pulled (the lines turn red at too high pressure). I guess you need to make the test simultaniously for both circuits at the same time?
After the test time the electric ABS pumps suddenly started working. Is that normal?
No information was shown if the test was completed successfully; just "test completed".
In the previuos version, it was able to make the test for each circuit separately with a three-section-line (orange / green / red) and you got a notice of the result of the test.

So, im not really sure if the test was made correctly, and I don't know if the circuits are sufficiently bleeded.

Do you have any information on this and how to perform the test correctly?

Regards from Germany,

Lars
