Rough running
« on: April 06, 2017, 08:01:06 PM »
Sorry guys, new to this thing...
My 2015 K1600GT (1200 miles),has developed a bit of a rough idle. It starts ok but at low revs if I give it a handful there's a slight hesitation before she drives on.

When I plug the GS-911WIFI in it says no faults. Anyone point me in the right direction please?

Rick

hi there
assuming that scan ok And no codes present.. means no "out of map event" has taken place---- and misfiring--- do live data and have a look at lambda--- read the manual-- there is article on lambdas along with Wiki
get as many clues as possible---- reaching temperature---plugs ok and nice colour---valve clearances/compressions--- not using/losing water..etc

just noticed mileage---- give the bike a good exercise--- do a couple of "driving cycles" --(key on--engine on--engine to running temperature--key off). there is "adaptive strategy" in ecu and it adjusts incrementally..

try cleaning your MAF sensor located inside the airbox near the right side of the air filter.  You will need Mass Air Flow spray cleaner

I just noticed the low miles as well.  I doubt it is the MAF sensor.  it could be like Robert stated that the bike computer is still learning.  How old is the fuel?  Gasoline after 1 year gets pretty rancid.  You could pump it out and replace it with fresh.  Add some gasoline additive line lucas.  Try just putting about 50 miles on her at high RPM.  Travel 1 gear under what you would normally think so the engine revs higher.  Not in the red.  Good luck  I have 100,000 miles on mine and just replaced the plugs, coils, filter and tires.  I go through three rears a year and 1 front tire a year.

I tried again and it worked fine.

You could try resetting the fuel mixture adaptations via the gs911 tool. I've had that solve mild running issues where no diag code was being set.
