ESA 1 question
(1/1)
Automike:
I’d like to ask a general question about whether the GS911 will test and calibrate the 1st generation Electronic Suspension Adjustment system - ESA, fitted to the K1200s.
I have read a number of posts going back to 2016 stating that GS911 at the time was incapable of testing the system and that it only works with the introduction of ESA 2 which was first fitted with the introduction of the K1300s.
My understanding is one of the main differences being the 2nd generation had hall effect position feedback sensors whereas the 1st generation had potentiometer sensors which couldn’t at the time be measured. Is this still the case?
Any information on the subject would be appreciated.

Thanks Schuppi for your reply. The link you kindly attached, does indeed suggest that ESA 1 can be calibrated using the GS-911, so I'm not quite sure what people were referring to in earlier posts. Anyway, once I've located a second hand ZFE - high for the bike (missing when I bought it), I'll carry out the calibration.
Cheers!
