K1600GTLheadlight issue
« on: July 27, 2020, 10:48:33 PM »
I'm getting this error code and wonder exactly what it is.
Is it a problem with the headlight itself, or the controller?

1 fault codes found:

E11430   CAN message missing (headlight status from SWE unit)
The fault is currently present.

Thanks,
Dave S.

Good Afternoon,  What was the final solution?  I am getting an intermittent headlight code but only when I hit bumps

Hi e7navy1999

The fault code service plan is very vague, you can check it out with the following website, just remember to remove any spaces before searching the fault code:
https://bmwfault.codes/

Check CAN bus, power supply and operation of transmit control unit.

Kind regards

Thanks.  I since replaced my front Genuine OEM BMW K1600GTL Front Level Sensor 37146860843 located just to the left side (rider right side0 behind the front spring.  No more fault codes.  I purchased a used part from ebay for $35usd.  took about 30 minutes to replace, had to remove front wheel but it may be possible without so much effort.  I replaced all my 6 coils at the same time at 100k US Miles.  engine fault code is gone.  Coils 2 and 3 were faulting since two months ago
