Adjust USB Power Outlet output?
« on: May 10, 2021, 07:20:49 PM »
Is it possible to adjust how much power the Can-Bus will allow the USB to output (device draw) using the GS-911 diagnostic tool? The reason I am interested is that the wireless charger I want to connect to the USB outlet in the RH compartment (glove box?) does not provide enough current to keep the wireless charge head powered. I can connect a USB adapter to the DIN plug on the RH side of the fairing, but wanted to use the outlet built into the bike since it is more weather resistant. Any help would be appreciated. Regards.

The current limits are set by the ZFE and not the CANbus. I don't believe that this can be adjusted.
Hey BMW: No service manual = no new bike.

Thanks for the reply and information. It is much as I had assumed, hard coded into the electrical control system. I can do a workaround pretty easily, but just wanted to make sure this was not a possibility. I appreciate the reply. Regards.
