I am heading into the mountains of BC for a week of dirt biking and only had a few minutes to try the reset. My current kilometerage is 6087 so the old service was to be in 3913 km. I set the distance to 26,000 and date to July 1 2020. the bike ended up being set to 25,987 according to the PC app, and 19,900 to go in the TFT and BMW connected smartphone app. the date was as set in TFT and PC app but shows June 30 2020 in the connected app.
When I get back I will play with other combos and see if there is a max setting as I have found that there was on my 2015 R1200 GS but could set a way longer time and distance on the wives 2015 F700 GS.
Well off to get dirty now.

Great to hear, GS Jim!! Appreciate your input.

All I can add? JEALOUS!! Enjoy the dirt. I spent 3 months in Seattle this time last year... Miss the mountains.

Have fun and be safe.

2018 TFT Here.  Just downloaded the  update and I was able to reset my service reminder successfully.  I just used the pre selected mileage and date instead of a custom one.  THANK YOU!

Francois Cilliers:
Hi everyone

We have confirmed that the function to reset service reminders on TFT clusters is working correctly as expected, and I have updated the announcement accordingly.

The reason why there was uncertainty about whether the function was working, was due to a misunderstanding about the restrictions of this instrument cluster.

The XKOMBIHI cluster controller only supports service intervals in increments of 100 km (63 miles). This is the same restriction that we have seen on XKOMBI53 (R1200 LC) and XKOMBILO (R nineT) instrument clusters. If you enter a custom service distance, the GS-911 software will automatically round the interval to the nearest 100 km increment on your behalf to prevent the controller from returning an error. This means that the actual service distance reported on your bike could be slightly different from the value that you chose, but it will be within a 100 km range from your chosen value.

Consequently, if your chosen value is less than 100 km from the current service distance, you will not see any change.

Yes it works perfectly now as stated above. Thanks guys.  :)
