Activate the alarm system by GS-911 WiFi on R1200GS LC?
strataj:
I looked at the function chart, it shows future for Service, it will read and clear faults. I wouldn't bet it can activate a new system at this time.

I got this answer from the Hex company:
Hi Christian,
|
| Pairing of aftermarket control units to to the bike is currently something the GS-911 cannot do, and we most likely will not support this in future software updates. We normally recommend customers to contact their local BMW service center, like you did.
|
| Also note that the service functionality our website is referring to is only to change settings on the alarm controller after it is already paired to the bike, such as changing the sensitivity of the alarm, or the time the alarm sounds when it is activated, etc.

Renzo:
Hi Christian, I understand what your trying to do, You have A R1200 that has the wiring for the alarm, but was not purchase as an option during the purchase of the bike, and now you want to buy the BMW factory alarm piece that plugs in to the harness, So will your GS911 be able to have the can-bus network find the newly installed factory alarm?
Could someone with a bit of sense answer this question?
Macali:
Hello, would someone know to answer me if with the last update 2004.2 it is possible to activate the DWA module in an S1000r, I see that it is possible to code some parameters, but is it possible to activate it ????
Wilco:
Coding options for the DWA controller was recently added yes, but pairing is not possible at this stage.
We are actively looking into supporting retrofitting, and the DWA is one of the controllers being considered.
