2006 GS will not switch on GS911

Hi Guys,
Since buying the GS-911WIFI for using on my 1200RT I have attracted two friends who have bought GS’s and ask me to look after them.....especially so with my shiney GS-911WIFI 😎
Yesterday my best mate bought a 2006 GS and asked me to spend whatever to make it wonderful🤷‍♂️.
I plug into his GS the 911, switch on the ignition ready to link it on my iPad, I still have 2 bike licences left, but the bike will not power up the 911😱. No power green light, just nothing. What am I doing wrong??

Is there any physical damage to your mate's plug?

if your bike powers the GS-911 and the GS cannot power the GS-911, the fault lies with his bike's diagnostic port.

Jughead:
Check to see whether you have power on the diagnostic port pins.



Pin 3 is GND
Pin 1 is switched power (12V with ignition ON)
Pin 2 is unswitched power (12V with ignition ON/OFF)
