Connectivity Problem
« on: April 17, 2018, 04:28:14 PM »
What to do to clear this fault? I just got it, it's registered, WiFi works, connects to my phone directly or in infrastructure mode, and it worked fine both connected and via WiFi the first time I used. Just comepleted a 6k service and now it won't connect. Any ideas?

Tried to attach a screen capture of the phone display.

Error: Attempting to connect to this controller timed out:
Possible ReasonsL
Killswitch not on Run
Module not fitted
Signal problem or faulty wiring

...and I get almost continuous Internal Server Errors when I try to post to this forum.

I took the connector (receptacle) off the bike and found a couple of loose pins. Looks someone was messing with it or it was bad from OEM. Regardless, I recrimped them and now it works perfectly. Thanks for the suggestions fellas.

Well, you would have to first suspect there's a problem. In my case the receptacle wasn't fully seated. THen you have to have the tools to remove the pins. Again in my case I noted a couple of them seemed to have loose wires when crimped so I broke out my wire crimper and fixed that. Once I reassembled it and plugged th unit in it worked perfectly.
