So we just changed the battery on a 2015 S1000RR and bike started with out any problems. A couple of hours later, bike just wont start any more. It cranks perfectly but engine wont catch.
I checked all the fuses and everything is fine. Checked and confirmed that all the switches on the right and left handle bar are all working as are the clutch and side stand switches. Checked fuel pressure and I have over 4400 mbar so fuel pump is running ok. Can any one point me in the right direction?

Hi All,
Just posting this to update everyone...maybe help someone else.
I figured that since there were no fault codes, then problem must be a "physical" one.
So this morning I stripped the bike....every connector, every cable lug and every socket got cleaned with electrical contact cleaner and dried with compressed air....from the ECU connectors to the headlamp sockets to the earthing/ground wires.... I went at everything.
Put it all together and bike fired up instantaneously!!!
I didn't come across any loose plug or connector but I guess there must have been something lurking somewhere.
Happy biker now!

Just read about your work on this S1000, hope that this starting problem is solved.
But if not, please have a look for the crankshaft sensor. This part will stop working by some
heat problems. This effect will rise the resistance of this sensor over 1kohms, engine still runs with
camshaft sensor as substitute signal until you cycle the ignition. Then there will no restart with this
defect until sensor is cooled.
This problem will not store any faultcode in the ECU.
Hope this helps

Thank you Schuppi.
Will archive your insight and if the problem re-occurs, I know where to go. I really appreciate your input.
