How do you use the GS-911 to adjust Throttle position sensor

(1/1)

Hello all, My my friend and I were trying to set the TPS on his 2004 dual spark R1150RT with the GS-911 tool.  We got to the part where you adjust the throttle position sensor until the bar on the screen turns green.  It goes right to the center line on the scree as green then if you go any further to the right the whole bar turns red. Is the center mark on the screen where we want to get it to?  Or is the goal to get the entire bar to turn green?  Thanks for the help.  Paul

i did a old 1200 gt the otherday bike was idling irregular found that the bar was red so i checked the routing of the cables corrected that and then just set it in the green on idle with full lock to the left and right on the handle bars.

worked perfect there after

BMW specs an "Acceptable Range" (which differs between models)... whenever it is within the "acceptable range", the bar is green... so, if you've done the calibration and it is green, then it is in accordance to the BMW spec...
