I hope this isn't too late, but check out http://www.hexcode.co.za/products/gs-911/support/manual/user-manual/the-gs-911-application/setup-function-button.  Try doing that to get it back to usb by default?

I had that happen to me a couple times, but I don't have my computer with the device handy.

Hi Kurt. Sorry for not noticing your message sooner. The diagnostic plug might look the same, but the pins inside the plug are different and the electronic protocol is different too. This is why we had to develop the new GS-911wifi to support the LC bikes, as explained here: http://www.hexcode.co.za/products/gs-911/support/faq/why-does-the-pc-software-say-my-gs-911-does-not-support-my-new-bike-model-and-i-need-to-use-the-gs-911wifi
