R1200 gs adv 24048 fault
Dugi34:
Hello folks, the fault on my bike is proving to be a right pain. I have swapped the original motor, with a ford fiesta abs pump motor, after reading the fault code was a pump motor problem ( or so I thought) .
After rebuilding the bike, and bleeding manually, I attempted to use the abs bleed function , but found the same fault present. I was lead to believe the replacement motor was working- tested prior to shipping, so I am now thinking there is a wiring fault. I also attempted to spin the original motor shaft by hand but could not shift it, yet it spun with a direct power supply no problem. Should the pump motor spin freely, as I suspect, or does it have some resistance to turning by hand? Below is the section from the autoscan results.
Does anyone know which pins in module connector power the pump motor?

schuppi:
Hello
There are no direct connections documented from outside the module to the pump motor.
Did you performed the output test for the motor?
I think that the fault based on the seized carbon brushes :)
Dugi34:
Hello Schuppi,
not sure how to perform the output test? I will be stripping motor to determine condition of brushes etc. Thans for replying.
Doug
schuppi:
Hi Doug,
you wil find this output test in ABS section clicking special functions ;)
After starting output test pump motor will run frequently three times.
Sometimes a little knocking ( on heavens door ;D) just to the pump motor will help
him running.

An update on my pump motor fault.
Carbon brushes fine and making contact with commutator. Very little wear obvious as both brush springs almost full compressed. Tested electrical connectors with multimeter to determine contact with commutator after reassembly of motor. Ok.
My gs 911 shows same fault code. I am now thinking the module is at fault. Has anyone else had same problem?
