USB => Bluetooth via a dongle?

Hi!
I purchased my GS911 years ago, something like 2008 before I even owned any Bluetooth devices - mine is the USB-only version (I think). If I purchased one of the USB to Bluetooth dongles, could I then run my GS911 with my Samsung Note 5, or does Bluetooth have to be built-in to the GS911 unit? I suspect I know the answer, but would like confirmation anyway - thanks!

The alternative to using bluetooth would be to use a Win8 tablet, I use a small 7" tablet and it is working well to put in the tank bag for real time logging

Thanks guys! I do have a little Dell touch screen mini-tablet floating around here with a micro USB port. I'll just use that while traveling, and repurpose one of my cast off laptops for shop use.
