3 pin connector confusion
« on: June 27, 2016, 07:25:04 AM »
I tried to connect my new 3 pin code reader to what I thought was the diagnostic connector on my 1997 R1100R.  When I didn't get communication with the reader, I discovered the 3 pin connector wiring color code actually appears to match a connector for CO Potentiometer?  I also can't seem to find another 3pin connector that would be the diagnostic connector?  The wiring on the Motronic connector has wires on the pins to support the diagnostic connector?  What gives?

The connector for the CO2-potmeter is usually located on the left-hand side. beneath the left-hand panel on the 1100RT, so I'm not sure where you found that connector.

Anyhoe, the 3-pin diagnostic connector is a light-blue connector, on the 1100RT it was located near the fuse-block and capped by another "dummy" connector (to keep the grit out).
