Disabling constant (known) faults
(1/1)
johnvw:
Hi to All,
As I have removed the ESA front and rear shocks and replaced with non ESA Wilbers, the auto scan will always show a fault. As this fault will be constant is it possible, within, GS911 to hide or disable this indicated fault without disturbing other potential faults.

What you can try is to measure the resistances on the shock plug pins, then connect resistors of equal value to the corresponding pins of the plug docket on the bike harness.
This should trick the ECM into believing that the unit is at least present. You should then be able to clear the fault code without it returning.
I haven't tried it on the ESA system, but know that it does work on various other bikes for eliminating emission control sensors etc.
