G'day all.  I'm Matt from Australia with a newish BMW1250 RT-P.  I've run into the common issue that when used as a job bike, the Police use the horn button but it actuates the sirens.

Can you use the HEX GS-911 tool to recode the push horn button on the left handlebar of the BMW 1250 RT-P so that the OEM horn sounds or is this something only a dealer can do?

I've been able to connect my GS-911 and actuate the OEM horn without any issues. I found the OEM horn surprisingly loud

TIA

Matt

Hi Matt

Considering that the OEM horn is actuating when running the output test via the GS-911, it could either be a wiring change (to connect the horn button to the appropriate wiring to trigger the horn) or a software change. We unfortunately have not done this before, so unsure whether that's possible.

If this is something you'd be interested in working with us to test it, send through a full autoscan to support@hexinnvate.com and I'll check with the developers whether we can look at a remote session with your bike to get this checked/logged.

Kind regards
Ruan
