The 2010 RT is my first and only bike with auto cancellation of the directional indicators. I tend to signal early and have found myself in situations where I was about to cross oncoming traffic while the indicators have already cancelled and surrounding traffic was not aware of my intention.
Release notes on the latest version 1411 states... "Added more KOMBI46 coding functionality (Time display,Temperature display,Headlight diagnostics,LED type indicators,
-Indicator auto off time,Indicator auto off distance,Alarm LED on time)"
I was looking forward to increase these parameters on my 2010 R1200 RT but cannot seem to find where to do it. Any assistance will be appreciated.

Hello Skim.
According to the informations given on Hexcode homepage this seems to be possible only for the KOMBI46/1, which is the S1000RR, but not for the R1200.

Thank you Holger,
I had high hopes but contacted the help desk about another issue which they promptly clarified and also cleared this as you now confirmed.
It may become available later... and I remain hopeful.
Kind Regards

I hope you're not one of those guys who signals then passes 7 driveways and a small side street only to turn after I've decided they accidentally triggered their indicators ;D
Until you can change the timeout to a desired value a suggested workaround is to keep your thumb on the indicator switch until making the turn.

Marchy, mostly not as bad as in your first paragraph... but then again, sometimes...
Here in South Africa we have one of the highest per capita accident and road deaths. We live and ride mostly in mountaineous rural area with a mixture of fast cars and slow moving trucks and single lane roads.
With a car tailgating (or sissybarring) waiting to overtake I prefer to signal early. Waiting for oncoming traffic to pass, I then sometimes found that 10 seconds have elapsed and I am sitting in the middle of the road, exposed and about to do something another driver is not aware of. Rare exception and not the rule.
Got used to it now, but frankly, after a lifetime of manual cancel, methinks maybe I prefer it.

Indeed, I also ran into similar issues with the turn-indicator, really scary and potentially very dangerous situation.
Currently only the BMW dealeRT can reprogram it for you, for time (after 10, 15 or 20 seconds or switched-off) and/or for distance (210 meters, 350 meters, 500 meters or switched-off).
A combination of these two parameters is also possible)
As I have audio-bleepers installed parallel across the front turn lights (and hidden inside the mirror-housing but still very audible) I have asked the BMW dealeRT to set both these 2 parameters to off.

I have an R Nine T. Sure would be nice if GS-911 could re-set the turn signal time/distance settings.

I guess it will be a matter of time.
If you look at the link;

What this KOMBI46 is for which bike et cetera I do not know.

I'm hoping. I think I have the latest update but will check. Was downloaded ~1 month ago.

The latest version GS911 software I downloaded was version 1503.2.
Unfortunately after version 1411 no further announcements were published on the Hexcode website. :o
I guess they are very busy building this feature. :)

Check the second post of this thread. ;)

Indeed, I overlooked that (or didn't remember reading it, an aftereffect from my treatment)
Thanks!
