Hi all
I’ve a 2015 gsa
I bought a dwa unit off eBay
It was listed as new old stock
I’ve fitted it on bike and while bike was in bmw
Having service and mot done I asked if alarm
Could be programmed
They tell me it’s not working 🤷🏼♂️
My hex sees module ( this was back in July )
But obviously I couldn’t do anything to set it up
Am I right In thinking this has now changed with update?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Update tried to use hex on module it now sees it and I tried to retro fit it
But it doesn’t see vin , when I go into coding it seems to be working
But not attaching to my bike
I’m lost now 🤷🏼♂️

Can you please copy paste a full text autoscan in a response here or forward a full autoscan to our helpdesk - support@hexinnovate.com
We'll need to see whether the retrofit went through in the vehicle order of the bike.
Then, how did you configure it? Does it auto arm? On the older bikes there isn't configuration options in the TFT display, so everything has to be done with the GS-911.

I’ve no idea how to get the information off the 911
I’ve taken loads of pictures of the information from my 911

I must say the gs911 hex is an absolute amazing tool
I can’t believe how my alarm unit was poo pooed by bmw
And the guys ( Wilco ) has got everything to work on my bike

Ensure that the DWA unit you purchased is fully compatible with your 2015 GSA model. Sometimes, even if it’s listed as new old stock, there can be differences in versions that affect functionality.

Well I did investigate the part numbers for my vin
And found the right number
It didn’t plug and play with bmw
But hex have coded it now to work on key plus auto arm
And it’s switchable on dash
It’s amazing what possible with a little coding

not surprised they made it harder to fit on later bikes... as more toys go on vehicles and they design them to die ever faster, the more spares become available to upgrade poverty spec models - so the manu find new ways to stop us doing it
the DWA module on the later bikes is different from the earlier simple bikes... its great this retrofit functionality exists - I had DWA coding done on an early bike at a dealership - but they no longer knew how to pair the alarm fobs....
