GS-911 / Re: What is being tested in beta
« Last post by tjones on Today at 08:01:56 PM »
Just took delivery of the new 1300GS last month. Hoping that there will be a release of added features for the gs-911 on the 1300 coming soon! Let me know if you need a beta tester for the 1300GS

Check the wiring harness just where it is cable tied to the frame below the upper steering yolk.  The inner copper wire breaks where the cable flexes.  You will have to open the harness up and check each of the 4 wires individually.   One of them is most likely broken inside the plastic covering.

ezCAN / Heated clothing
« Last post by sakm on Today at 11:28:04 AM »
I know its possible to turn on heated clothing in conjunction with the heated grips but I was wondering if it can be done for the rear heated seat too?

I want to get the wife some heated clothing and be able to turn it on and off with the rear seat

GS-911 / Re: Alarm system battery fault code won't clear
« Last post by Morrington on Today at 10:22:40 AM »
After further digging,

The original batteries I removed still showed over 3V and a check of the contacts in the alarm module showed a break between the bridge of the 2 batteries. It looks like back to the dealer for a faulty alarm module, perhaps a replacement. Thanks for everyone's help.  :)

Hi Bojan

It's a bit vague at best, but below is the cause/description of that fault, looks like you've got a needle to search for in a haystack - I suspect there's going to be a chaffed wire somewhere causing the break.

Hi,

It's the gen 4 model so it shows a different fault on the dash but I'm sure it's essentially the same thing. I replaced the batteries with fresh ones but perhaps I've not seated them right. I'll open it back up and take another look and make sure they're not faulty with a multimeter.

I hadn't considered that the fault wouldn't show on diagnostics but that would explain why the gs911 wouldn't see it. I'll let you know how I get on.

Hello
Just to clarify:
I don't think the integrated battery in the alarm system is monitored by the diagnostics.
This is what the instrument cluster shows: DWA!
Possible cause:
The integral battery in the antitheft alarm has lost its entire original capacity. There is no assurance
that the anti-theft alarm will be operational if the vehicle's battery is disconnected.

Did you ckeck the two new CR123A Lithium batteries and their connections?
