Title: K1300GT Flashing Odometer
Post by: RonWiebe on September 30, 2014, 09:05:22 PM
For the last few weeks the "Odometer" indication located in the lower center of the Main LCD display flashes on & off at a 1 second interval.
It continues to indicate the change in total distance covered properly, it just continues to flash away.

This is occurring on a 2009 K1300GT.

I've plugged in my GS911 and it shows a fault ( that cannot be reset) in the Instrument Cluster.

The fault is # 37685   Discrepancy in values of total mileage between BMS-KP and KOMBI (instrument cluster).
                                   The fault is currently present.

Does anyone know whats going on and how to clear this problem

Thanks, Ron

Kombi and BMSK both store the vehicle mileage, usually when one is replaced the new one needs the mileage and is done on the dealership Moss PC, I have had a few bikes in the shop come in like yours ( flashing odo ) not sure if the 911 is capable to update, but it only takes a few minutes at the dealer, not sure why it happens ? Good luck.    Rob

Thanks Rob.

Your comments are very much appreciated, especially your comment about a dealership that knows what they're doing only needing a few minutes to correct the issue.
I guess that's what I'll have to do.
