« Last post by jan@familienbroe.dk on May 17, 2024, 09:09:18 PM »
- I made service on my R1150RT 2002, before service no error.
After change brake fluid i was folowing a Youtupe video, first pumpe out on the 6 places on the ABS block.
After oppen the container in on the ABS block and flushing to the wheel's

After i use my GS 911 to check everything seams fine.
My first ride on the Bike i got ABS error after 15Km. Ride

Home to put GS 911 on to see the error:
Fault Code Value   17438(0x441E)
Fault Code Description   Pressure in rear wheel circuit too high

When i read values then i got about 400 bar on the circuit

Today i start over and did a 2 times alle the steps to puss out air if there was somthing,
When i turnd on the bike to move it to the Lift i didn't have Error on the ABS.

After the 2 times taking fluid out i again got Error
now just whit a much lower value

No idea John would let you know if I come across.

Can anyone post live values for their F750 or F850 for me to compare please.  Would be of great help, Thanks a lot!

Clutch switch 1 prevents the bike from starting in gear unless the clutch is disengaged.

Clutch switch 2 kills the cruise control if the clutch is pulled in even a small amount so as to prevent the engine from over-reving.

Thanks for the tip, the servo eliminator does look like the better option. I'm just trying to figure out if my USA 2016 RT is Euro 3 or 4 compliant.

Yes the EU3/4 aspect crossed my mind as well, not sure how to work that out, VIN Decode or GS911 Autoscan are possibilities, Vehicle Order in Autoscan seems the most likely to have the answer

I've just learned that it's Euro 3 (from the BMWMOA wethead forum), but it's a moot point, as tech support from HealTech responded to my question with "all BMWs use the same ESE-BM1 unit".

More to come on this topic...

Hi Sayeed,

Thanks for the info re Clutch switches, I don't suppose you have now found what their functions are? I'm trying to see exactly how Hill Start Control works on my 1250GS and wondered if one of these switches might be involved in that.

Thanks John.  Tried that too.  Some of the fault codes on Telematic unit were reappearing, checked all connectors and cleaned on Hexcode advice.

Learnt that clutch has 2 switches and both sits on left hand lever and this is how they operate.

Clutch left hand Lever  Not pulled            Slightly pulled     Fully pulled
Switch 2                      Actuated              Not actuated      Not actuated
Switch 1                      Not actuated        Not actuated      Actuated

In short Switch 2 is normally actuated.

remyredjo, did you figure out what was causing the negative response on the switching cam test? I’m having the same result on my 2019 R1250GSA. Have you had any problems with the bike since the incident?

Jerry
