GS-911 / Re: BMW r1250GS/A Daytime Running Light EU vs USA
« Last post by Ron from BC on June 25, 2025, 04:59:43 AM »
Now this could just be a coincidence but since installing and activating the EU daytime running lights I've noticed a couple of odds things:

1.  When I first made the change the TFT showed a new white icon on the bottom for this new DRL mode.  I still had only 1 green icon on the left side which is for the OEM LED fog/driving lights.  I've recently noticed a second green icon immediately above the LED one which I believe is also for the DRL?  If so, I wonder why it didn't show for about a week?

2.  The X pattern of this DRL is not as bright as the NA/CDN model, specifically the two horizontal LED lines on the NA/CDN mode

3.  The OEM LED fog/driving lights are not as bright as they were.

Anyone else notice any of these changes?

Thanks...

Yes I believe you must be "riding" or they would shut off while sitting waiting for traffick to clear/light to change etc. I have been using the comfort setting for a while and like it. The over 100 kph, cancel on accell and other nuances seem well thought out. Not sure if all that is available on your bike though.

my 2024 S1000XR will chill around 12.4v with the ignition on, engine off.  I usually hook up a 5amp charger to it while I'm using the GS-911 for anything more than a few minutes, as the battery will eventually drop to 12.3 or so which seems to trigger the GS-911's safety.

such is the downside of modern bikes with tons of electronics.

Hi
I have set the self cancelling indicators to off on my 2012 gsa.
I have tried to reintroduce it auto cancel.
When I “apply” changes the lights flash to register the change but no change has been made.
An I missing something?
Does the self cancel only work when riding not stationery?
Thanks

The SPAM regarding the dark web is as a result of Govts taking down a couple of the largest dark web criminal sites & now the there are attempts to set up new dark web sites, quite a bit of info on it in the specialist IT press

The thought to delete/disable Russian language came to mind over the last week

Hi Both

It's really an uphill battle, we've changed the ability to post to wait approval of your user last week, but after approving a small batch of users, some bots made it through.

At this point we're considering actually not allowing new signups until that person logs a support ticket, because just one bot (of the 4 that caused havok over the weekend) posted 89 posts. The other 76. It's difficult for us to maintain at all times due to our other obligations, but we've cleaned everything up again.

We're looking at ways to make this better, and we do apologise for the spam - know that it pains us as well!

Kind regards
Ruan

I agree. This has gotten out of hand, there must be something that admin can do, they are all first posts so they need to screen first posts. This has been going on for a while and getting worst. Admin? Any comments?

This forum used to be my 2 nd stop daily to catch up.

This continuous and lots of spam (or whatever it's called) is really irritating.

Is it impossible to eliminate it? Good luck to admins, hopefully we can get back to normality.

I put now the new one 33 53 77 11 074 preload motor on a old one 33 53 76 75 105 strut and it works now good. The first Autoscan gives me also an error on ESA sensor, but after succesful calibration with 911 everything was OK.

Hi Ruan,

I needed to have the horn working to ensure the bike is able to be registered.  I took it to a local workshop and they have updated the bikes software.  Apparently this is what is required and its a common modification on ex-Police bikes.

Prior to taking it to the bikeshop I downloaded a full autoscan.  I'll send that through along with a post modification autoscan to help you track any changes.  If it leads to modification of the software on the 911 I'm sure it'll be a feature that would help someone who also has an ex-Police motorcycle.

Thanks Matt
