Title: s1000r will not communicate with gs911
Post by: motogp on June 06, 2014, 06:02:07 AM
My 2014 s1000r is now due for 600mile service. I have done all the maintenance {oil change.chain lube and adjust etc. }.  BMW restricts rpm during breakin.and I have to reset the service lamp my GS911 will not communicate with the bike!!

the new S1000R is a K001 chassis bike... that means it is the same chassis (electrically) than the K48 (K1600) and the K50 (R1200GS LC), K51 (R1200GS Adv LC), K52 (R1200RT LC) and K17 (C-evolution scooter)

if you look closely at the pinouts of your bike's diagnostic connector and compare those to the pinouts on the GS-911, you will note that they differ

This model will thus require the new GS-911wifi that we are working on... send me a PM - might need to test on your model (wink-wink nudge-nudge)

best
Stephan
