Title: F650GS single won't start after reset.
Post by: Urbandrag on August 22, 2015, 01:42:56 AM
Hi guys,
This is Diego from Argentina.
I recently preformed a big maintenance in my '06 F650GS single.
I checked valve clearance, changes vital fluids and filters, I sent the throttle body for inspection and cleaning to a Bosch specialist, I replaced fuel filter/regulator unit (actually I replaced oem filter with a separated FPR and filter), and also replaced fuel pump.
The bike was sitting in the garage because I went out for family vacations for 3 weeks.
Few minutes ago, I put it together, and before cranking it, I performed a fault read (Luckily, nothing showed up) and then, I reset it via my GS911, according to adaptations menu.
Now it won't start.
I performed another fault read and nothing. I checked presence of fuel and it's ok. I didn't check spark yet, because I have to take it apart again, battery seems to be ok.
Any input?
Let me know if you can help a fellow rider!
Thanks,

Sounds like you are down to cross checking the work you did, making sure all electrical connections are back in place and that there is air/spark/fuel, remember you can use the component triggering capabilities of the GS911 in the process of checking everything

Hey,

Thanks for the fast reply.
I double checked everything again, and everything was ok.
I cranked it without airbox and it RUNS!.
I put it together for the last time, and it braps like there's no tomorrow!
I hope to rip some gravel roads this weekend!
I'll keep you posted and thanks again!
