GS-911 and ezCAN User Forum

I have just purchased a GS911 from Ilexa UK. - I plugged it into my 2008 BMW R1200RT for the first time today. - Whatever I attempt - (Autoscan, read error codes, re-set service reminder etc. - I get the same error message window in the GS911 software - "Error writing to socket."
I typed the same error code into this forum 'search' and got no matches or anything similar. - A quick look through forum has not come up with anything either.
When I set up the GS911, it updated itself to the latest 'firmware?' I am running it on a Windows 7 Laptop.
Anybody any ideas please?
