Was wondering if anyone has ever been forced to change this sensor - knocking sensor.
If yes, how does the engine behaves with faulty knocking sensors ?
Thx for the enlightenment

Yes, on several occasions.
One of the issues I recall is that the bike jumped all over the place when idle and sometimes even stall.

Please forgive my ignorance... I do not have a modern bike.
On older bikes there are several (safe/ basic mode maps)
If a sensor fails or give not plausible values the ECU switch to another map.
Its often very hard to notice the difference- except for a higher fuel consumption.
As a example: If the TPI fails- then the bike will work almost as usual up to 4- 5000rpm or so :-)
I would think the modern ECU`s was even better in that respect.... HOPE they are!
