Title: Tail / Brake light wiring.
Post by: JBCurtis on March 02, 2022, 12:31:56 AM
I would like to add a tail/brake light onto my top box.  I have access to several type of lights but they are all 3-wire.  ( -Ground, +Tail and +Brake ).  Is there way to wire this to one circuit of the EZcan and have full functionality of the brake/tail light?

Hi JBCurtis

Thank you for reaching out. Yes, you can simply connect the brake wire + ground to the ezCAN output. Keep in mind that the reason for 3 wires on the light is for the assumption that you will be connecting it into the bike's OEM wiring. Because the ezCAN will be regulating the brightness on the light, you can ignore the running light wire. The ezCAN will alter the brightness using the brake wire (which allows brighter intensity than the running light wire).

Kind regards
Ruan
