Throttle Twist Grip Position
« on: May 06, 2015, 04:46:30 AM »
New user here. Just recently receive the GS-911 wifi to use with my 2015 R1200RT. While logging real time values and later looking over the data, I notice that the throttle twist grip position would randomly show a value of 1574. It showed 0 most of the time, but at 20 seconds, at 2 minutes, and 2 minutes and 20 seconds it showed the value of 1574. I was letting the bike idle just to play. I'm not worried about it, but just curious as to why it would show a random value without actually twisting the throttle.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hi Onegrook
Yes, the bug value can be a bit confusing.
We initially had the percentages bound to 0% at the bottom and 100% at the top, but the calibration can drift so it is possible to see values outside of this range and so we decided to disables the boundariy check as it provides false information.
We have subsequently changed the display to give values of negative percentages e.g.(-1%) instead of high values when underflow occurs.
This will roll out in our next release of firmware update.
Regards
Peet
