My question is rather technical and is related to differences on GS911 settings / values in the TPS adjust screens for K1200RS/ K1200LT Motronic platform. Tests mentioned below were done using GS911 classic-Yellow unit with software Version 1411.2 plugged into a Windows 7 PC with a USB cable interface.
It has been accepted / known for many years that Motronic MA2.4 would expect a base TPS setting corresponding to 0.34 to 0.38 for most BMW models. In GS911 real-time values screen/log this would match an opening of 0.64 degree.
Having done a lot of work on many K1200RS Throttle-bodies (1998-2005), I was satisfied with the GS911 procedure to confirm TPS adjustment as this would match other methods that I had used in the past to get 0.36 volts. Recently, I had to use my GS911 to check TPS setting on a K1200LT (2005) and was surprised to see that GS911 expect a value of 0.42 volts in order to be in the middle of the green range (roughly 0.96 degree).
Could anyone at Hexcode explain why the GS911 software expects such a different value between K1200RS and K1200LT selected option on entry? I fully understand that some internal details may be trade secret of HexCode, but I cannot imagine this was done arbitrarily without an official reference from BMW.
Thank you for your diligence in this matter.
Jean
P.S.: obviously, on both bikes (K1200RS , K1200LT) I have followed the requested steps to removed Idle-Actuator when needed.
