Hi - new member here - i own a BMW k1200s - recently i was flushing/bleeding the abs module. During the procedure, I had to unplug the electrical connector leading from the canbus system to the abs control unit (the unit that is connected to the pump) to temporarily turn off the brake servos. When i reconnected the electrical connector to the control unit, I no longer had any communication  through the control unit (no abs brake functions, no brake lights, no speedometer, etc.). It does not appear that i damaged any of the pins or the connector.  I believe I may have left the ignition in the "on" position when i was disconnecting the connector, so perhaps this may have created some issues.

My initial steps were to disconnect the battery and tie the battery leads together to see whether that would help reset the abs control unit - no luck unfortunately

Wondering whether anyone has any suggestions as well as thoughts on how to figure-out what is causing the communication failure ?

Also, anyone familiar with the connector and which pins control which functions (including ground and power?) - thanks in advance

Pressure modulator - people are calling it ABS Gen 4 - later bikes replace a plastic rivet that sends undue vibrations - USA recall to retrofit the plastic rivet. ROW keep the failure
