Hello,

what exactly is ment by the following (that came as a feature with the october 2024 update):

"Enhanced Navigation: You can now enable your XKOMBIHI instrument cluster, to use the BMW Connected app."

Thanks and best regards,

Danny

I would assume that if you have an XCOMBIHI cluster, and you do not have the nav enablement or entry on your vehicle order, you can now.. enable it.  ConnectedRide is BMW's phone app that pairs rather nicely with their TFT-enabled motorcycles -- it populates speed limits for wherever you are, can be set up to automatically track your riding and save GPS routes, restore them/play them back, etc..

I just saw that today. I don’t know how it works with the Connected Ride app on the iPhone. Have you figured out what you can do with it?

asellus:
On my XR, the connectedride app fetches and makes available information like the speed limit for your current road.

My phone also records my rides, and available information from the motorcycle like speed, rpms, throttle, lean angle, G forces, etc..  Very nice for when I tag along on a fun route with someone -- I automatically record it. :)

I’m sorry I didn’t state correctly what I was getting at. You have the option to add Connect Ride to the menu items on the TFT (My Vehicle, Navigation, Media, Telephone).

I see the Connected Ride when going through the menu option I see Connected Ride but there isn’t an option to select anything under that menu item even though my iPhone is connected to the TFT.
