RDC impossible to learn tpms ID

(1/2) > >>

AlessandroS:
Hi everyone,
I am facing the following problem: on a K1300S equipped with a Gemel DWA-RDC module, I replaced the front wheel TPMS with an new original BMW spare part (36 31 9 832 032). This is a second-generation Schrader sensor, which is sold without an ID code on label. Therefore, it is necessary to acquire the ID code via the RDC control unit and the GS911 in learn mode.

I tried to activate the newly installed sensor by rapidly deflating the tire, but the software does not detect the new ID. In fact, the learning phase times out without acquiring it. I also tried deleting all stored codes and using the relearning method, but without success. Same result trying to acquire ID in A or B tyres slots.

Additionally, I attempted to retrieve the ID using the rear wheel TPMS (which works perfectly) by acquiring the previously deleted code (whose ID I know), either by deflating the tire or by spinning it at speeds above 30 km/h. However, I did not achieve any success.

By manually reprogramming the deleted code, the rear TPMS functions correctly.

How can I retrieve the ID of the front TPMS?

Maybe try a pressure sensor "wake up' tool?

Know that this is an older thread, and the OP might have figured this out awhile back, but will go ahead and post a link to this video which might help the next guy searching for answers - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4HAnT58b2DY

Eydugstr, yes, i think that the tpms wake up transmitter could be a (last) possibility. But the fact that the GS911 does not even detect the rear wheel code, when put in rotation, would make you think more of a problem of incorrect interrogation protocol from GS911 to the old dwa/rdc integrated control unit present in K1300S. Let's not forget that this problem, in the motorcycles built later which have the rdc receiver separate from the dwa module, does not exist. Another attempt could be made using the Motoscan app...

WayneC:
I would listen to what Jughead posted rather than blame GS911 & waste money on MotoScan
