Hi, new user here, does the GS-911WIFI need an internet connection for the device to work on a windows laptop?

The GS911 WiFi can be considered 2 tools in one

You can use it with full functionality off line with the  Windows PC Application connecting via USB cable or WiFi in the workshop

You can use it via WiFi with the browser interface into  it's own WiFi hot spot for basic functionality with a Laptop,Tablet or Phone, full service functionality can be used via the Hexcode Web server if you have a WiFi network with internet connection or phone out on the road
