Apple computers with new M1 chip compatibility?
« on: November 15, 2020, 02:29:16 PM »
I just ordered a  MacBook Air with the new M1 chip to replace my non functioning 2013 model.

Will my Hex GS-911 & EzCan software be compatible?   I’ve read that software written for the Intel based chips may not work.

Thanks
Brian

Hi Brian,

We are releasing a new build of our Mac software soon that is compatible with the new "Apple Silicon Macs" as well as the Intel-based Macs.

Kind regards,
Francois

But also rest assured that Apple’s Rosetta 2 technology allows Intel-based applications to be run on the new arm64 architectures, so you won't have any issues with our current apps.

I have installed Rosetta 2 but I still get the error when trying to install the software in Windows 11 (ARM) running in Parallels.
