Evening All,

Following an RTC and the subsequent writing off of my Honda CBF1000, the replacement is a 2013 R1200GS Adventure, one of the last UK air cooled bikes before the LC's came out.

I've run the bike for a year and can honestly say I have fallen in love with the GSA to the point I have now decided to properly learn how to maintain it and service it...... hence buying the GS-911 wifi. My plans are long term with this bike.

I am comfortable doing the very basics, oil and filer changes, replacing brake pads but beyond that I am going to learn. I have the Haynes manual, have an attitude to learn and a willingness to try. Not quite sure HOW I'm going to learn but will find a way.

Need to learn the GS-911 too

Sounds like I'm applying for a job doesn't it   ;D

I'm based in Leeds and spend a lot of time motorcycle touring, camping and wild camping.

Hullo one and all!

Cheers,

Mark

Hi Mark,

Welcome.

Are you aware that the BMW Club UK have a couple of GS-911 tools (an early version for up to but not including the GS1200 LC models, and a WiFi for the LC and K1600 models).

They also have loads of BMW specialist tools , manuals etc.

Mike

Markytp:
Hi Mike,

Yes, I am aware, I joined last year though haven't been as active as I should.

Had a year learning the bike and this year will be taking a more active part in the Yorkshire Region  :)

Are you THE  Mike, the tool hire Secretary?

mike d:
Hi Mark,

Yes I am the Tool Hire Secretary.

As a member, if you wish to try before you buy, then it doesn't cost much to hire the GS-911 from the Club.

Mike
