GS-911 V1707 (July 2017) software updates available

Hi everyone

GS-911 V1707.2 is available for download as well as software updates for the GS-911wifi interfaces.

The major changes in this release are support for new 2017 EU-4 compliant BMW motorcycle models and new cloud service functions for ZFE-Basic/ZFE-Low/ZFE-High body controllers. The GS-911wifi web interface has the added ability to scan bikes with the OBD2 protocol for those that are OBD2 compliant (the PC app will soon do the same). The XSLZ keyless ride controller functions are now available on all K1600 and R1200 models that has it fitted. Emergency functions for KOMBI-2D instrument clusters are now available on K024 generation bikes, and all functions are now available for the KOMBI7x installed on 2015 C600 Sport and C650GT scooters.

I have version 1702.1 and when I check for updates, the system responds:

GS-911wifi Utility : up to date and   
GS-911wifi Interface : up to date

The latest software version of the WiFi utility (which you are using) is 1702.1, and the PC application is 1707.2

When I try to update wifi interface I get this error Server Error (400), Why?

This is an unfortunate problem that appeared for older versions of the Wifi Utility when we moved our servers to a new infrastructure provider.

There are two solutions to get the new version of the Wifi Utility:

1) You can exit the Wifi Utility completely from the taskbar notification area and then relaunch it. The first check for updates will then work - just be sure to update the Wifi Utility. Note that you have to exit the utility completely. Closing the window is not enough.

2) You can download the latest version of the Wifi Utility from our downloads page: http://www.hexcode.co.za/products/gs-911/downloads

Once you have the latest version, you will be able to do updates normally again.
