Scan turns on ABS pump
« on: July 16, 2017, 04:17:32 PM »
 >:(

GS911 auto scan turns on my ABS pump motor, at least that's what I think it is, please forgive my inexperience. Thing is, I can easily accept that this might be a normal check routine but I became concerned when it didn't switch itself off so I turned the ignition off and tried a scan once more. It's happened 3 times and stays on so long (indefinitely) that I fear for the battery. Is this normal?

I purchased the 911 to help cure my ABS Break Failure warning and suspect I'll be removing and mending said unit in the near future (a huge learning curve for me). That said, perhaps more experienced gs911 users have something worth adding. Your thoughts would be very welcome

What platform are you using? Android, Windows, Mac?

The standard length for the ABS pump to stay on is 10 seconds, after which it stops the function automatically.

Android platform. ABS test greatly exceeds 10 seconds. ive noticed since that the test stops very briefly then restarts and seemingly cycles ad infinitum

thanks by the way
