Hi this is my first post here. I have an engine waring on my R1250 GSA . the Bike went in to limp mode tick over only.
I ran a scan which came up with the error  “0x3A13D7 Throttle grip sensor, Channel 1, short circuit to ground.”
I have tried reseating the connector at the grip and tried clearing the fault with no success
I ran the real time monitoring tool for the throttle which is only showing 12% at full twist.
I Ran the Twist grip adaptation but again it only get to 12% and doesn’t complete.
Is the limp mode holding the throttle at 12% or is it the actual fault?
Looing on the internet someone is saying it is unlikely to be the twist grip but more likely to be a broken wire.
Has anyone seen this before?

Thanks

Hello, that's the actual fault.
Check wiring, wiring harness and plug connector to the throttle grip sensor 1.
Check wiring harness plug connector to DME
Check of the sensor voltage on the upper and lower limit position

If that doesn't work, replacing the throttle twist sensor is necessary

It turned out to be the Throttle twist grip , BMW replaced it as good will as it was just out of warranty

The Throttle twist grip was the culprit, and BMW graciously replaced it even though the car was almost out of warranty.

It's a pretty dangerous bug. If checking the wiring and sensor voltage at the upper and lower limits does not detect anything, you need to replace the sensor with a new one to check slope ball
