If you do not have access to any wakeup tools, you can use the ALERT method as a last resort, also detailed on the RDC procedure page (Option 3). This should wake the sensor up and the GS-911wifi should then be able to read the sensor ID's.

Mornay

I think his issue here is not being able to pick up the current sensor id as programmed.

The screenshot in the link (http://www.hexcode.co.za/products/gs-911/procedures/rdc) has the button for "Learn front sensor, wheel set A", alongside which the Current ID is displayed.

As per my previous post, I played around a little and managed to find where the current ID is displayed.

Maybe somewhere in the future the "Display Current ID" feature can be added?

The screenshot in the previous post was from the PC.  Here is one from the phone, a Samsung S8.

You must enable your mobile data while connected to WiFi.  Many phone are set to disable mobile data while connected to WiFi.

Why are you trying to relearn the ID?  The correct ID is already set up.

It is possible that the sensor batteries have died.

A question. Have you added a mousse or puncture prevention solution into the tyre?

Does the fault reoccur if you clear the fault code and then take the bike for a ride?

I would suggest you get the bike to someone with the correct wake-up tool to try to revive the sensors.  Failing that, you may need to replace the batteries (a rather delicate operation to be successful) or replace the sensors altogether.

Just to add to this thread.......I tried many, many times the gs911 tyre deflate method to attempt to acquire the id of a replacement sensor that I fitted to my wheel, I followed the gs911 instructions carefully, but without success...... I eventually visited my BMW dealer who successfully used their wake up tool and programmed the sensor to the bike.

I wake them up by using the alert mode - works pretty fine.

hi everyone.
is there special positioning of the tire  while relearning.
this could help everyone.
example like 90 degrees of valve stem.

Sensors will go to sleep once the ignition is turned off.  Waking them up just requires some activity.  Ride the bike in excess of 30km/h and they automatically wake up.  Deflating the tyre quickly is another way to get them active.

However, having said that, I have rarely been able to configure NEW sensors by this means.  Creating some activity wakes them up but leave them in Neverland, and without knowing the sensor ID, it remains very difficult to get them configured.  I have also found that where more that one sensor is present, Sensor Learning will be unsuccessful.

The tool I use is a Ateq VT30.

It does not only the BMW sensors but almost any known sensor out there.  Also has periodic software updates to add newer sensors for a huge range of vehicles.

Simply hold the unit near the sensor, push the transmit key and the display reads the ID, tyre pressure etc, etc.  This ID can then be entered manually on the bike.

Hi everyone .
bmw r1200gs 2016 model.
job done by using autel ts 401.
upgrade to new firmware.
use either vehicle selection on ts 401.

US/CN Saturn Astra 2010/01-2010/12 315MHz
US/CN Saturn Astra 2008/01-2009/12 433MHz
US/CN Saturn Astra 2010/01-2010/12 433MHz

it took 3 sec to read id and all info from the sensor, without fitting in tire.
so u know whether the sensor is ok or not.
THE REST IS DONE BY GS911 WIFI.
