ABS Failure can't be reseted
« on: January 29, 2017, 12:43:01 AM »
Hi there,

A friend came to me in his 1200GS '13 (Non LC) with an ABS failure and speedo not working.
During scan, the module reads under voltage event and rear sensor not responding but both failures were not present, so I cleared them, I performed another two or three scans to confirm the failures are gone but the abs light still blinks and speedo doesn't work.
Any input?
Thanks in advance.

Regards from Argentina.

Rear sensor is most likely buggered.  Or the cable had been pinched and is shorting just where it passes the forward mounting bolt of the torsion bar.

Also, remove the rear sensor and inspect it.  You may find a Christmas tree of metal swarf on the end of it.  Would indicate an imminent bearing failure.
