Second Hand Clocks and ZFE Unit Problem. Cannot be used?

nope, not just a straight swop, as every unit has the last 7 digits of the VIN coded into it... 

BMW can "match" second hand units... , however, I have heard that they cannot do it with the new (3rd generation) MOSS - as they want you to fit new control units (for whatever the reason may be)...  Iv that is fact, I cannot yet say...

There ought to be a general warning to people with those bikes to NOT buy specific (coded) secondhand parts.
