BMW C650GT Scooter question

OOPS!  I posted this in the wrong section so I'll re-post here. 
I replaced my battery,  The moveable windshield doesn't operate.  The BMW forum claims that BMW must reset my ECM.  Will the GS 911 allow me to do that?
